Mrs. Hancock is survived by her children, James E. Hancock, Johnnie L. (Leonard) Tate, Etheline (Robert) Tyree, Linora A. Collins and Katherine M. Hancock; grandchildren, Michael Hancock, Tharon Tate, Jennifer Hancock, Selene Cherry, Krysti Elam and Khalid Collins; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ora L. Chambers and a host of relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Ms. Katherine Hancock.
