Ricardo Antonio Smart was born May 19, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Sarah Smart and Robert Pearson, He was called to enter the "Pearly Gates" Friday, October 9, 2020.

Ricardo grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he attended Detroit Public Schools. He was a quiet kid who stayed to himself. He was a loving father and proud grandfather, he would do anything for his family. In 2014 he moved to Athens so he would be closer to his children.

In addition to his parents, Ricardo was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Smart; aunt/mother, Junita Smart; wife/soulmate, Tabethia Wise

He leaves to cherished his memories a son, Antonio Smart; daughter, Yatamiese Smart; two stepchildren, Chris Carver and Ashley Wise; two grandsons, AhKashian Smart and Ta`Marion Wise; mother-in-law, George Annie Cole; sister-in-law, Chiquita Wise of Athens; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
