"Bobby Lamar Watkins" was born January 4,1963 to Mr. Bobby Lee Watkins and Mrs Barbara Jean Gresham-Watkins. Boby transitioned from labor to reward very peacefully on the night of Friday, January 19: Coming into the early morning of January 20.2024
Being reared in both his family churches located in Oglethorpe county. He attended the New. Hope, Baptist Church in Carlton, GA with his Mothers side of the singing Gresham Family to church on the closer side to Athens in Lexington with his father's family. It was there in Lexington where he confessed Christ as his saviorat an early age. He joined the Fork Bethel Baptist Church where many of his lineage of the Watkins family attended and lived close by.
He was educated in the Clarke County School System where he was a skillful Football Player and played Basketball avidly and equally well. He was so well rounded in sports throughout his entire life, It was at Clarke Central High School with his graduating class of 1982 where he led in points on numerous games on the varsity teams. Football seemed to be what he had more of a passion for and exceled in.
Bobby worked for the Clarke County School District for many years and later became disabled upon his departure. He was a loving and legendary man. For all those who knew him, people could tell you many funny stories about him and he could tell them as well. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him and all his antics. Riding or walking, which is what he loved to do in his local neighborhood. He didn't mind letting you know "My name Bobby Lamar Watkins" and "Imma make it do what it do!""
He had a loving and caring heart, especially for his family and those he cared about. "The Crew" who preceded him in death was his Father, Mr. Bobby Lee Watkins, his brother-in-law, Anthony Penn, and most recently not making a year his only brother, Norris L. Wakins, who he cared deeply for and missed. He leaves tocherish his precious memory: His wonderful mother, Barbara J. Watkins, sister, Antoinette Penn, his only daughter who he thought the world of: Takiyah L. Watkins, whom he affectionately called with emphasis; "Shay", his son, Marco A. Hull. and his baby, his only granddaughter, Tatyana Vasmine Watkins Hudson, one niece, Toni Necole Penn, whom he always would call "choo-choo", one great nephew, Preston Nazir Dung special aunts, Margaret Smith and Laura Porter, a host of other Aunts and Uncles, cousins, neighbors, classmates, teammates, former co-workers and friends.
