Chadwick W. Freeman

Chadwick (Chad) W. Freeman was born on December 22, 1966 in Oglethorpe County passing September 29, 2020.  Chad education started in the Oglethorpe County system and was completed at Clarke Central High School, Athens, Georgia, Class of 1985. Chad accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was a believer.

.Chad’s eagerness to work started before he was legally of age. His first employment was at the age of 14.  His career included employment at Noramco, Reliance, The Athens Banner Herald, including Athens- Clarke County Water Treatment Facility.

Chad was selfless and took pride in helping others. Chad was especially compassionate towards the elderly, which he demonstrated at an early age by caring for his maternal grandmother Irene Freeman.  Chad continued in his compassion for caring with the relentless care he provided to his parents.

Chad’s life was centered around; family, friends and fun.  Always cherishing time, he spent with his family and friends. Chad was proud of his life accomplishments, such as raising his son. Chad was the center of attention at any family gathering, exhibiting his latest dance moves, and being agile and light on his feet, known between all as the family man, not missing anytime family shared.  Stephen his nephew gives Chad his honors for teaching him eye catching dancing moves.  Chad also showed off his dancing at his class reunions. He always exhibited youthfulness with the young and patience with the elderly.

Chad was a devoted son and father. Chad leaves behind his son, Kyle Freeman; his grandchild, Ja’Kyle Freeman; parents,  Francine  and Lynell Favors, Sr.; brothers, Bernard I. Freeman and Lynell Favors, Jr. both of Athens GA, nephews, Stephen Freeman, Keelyn Bell and a host of aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and other family and longtime friends.
