Chester Hill Middlebrooks, 84 of Athens was the only son of Jessie Lou Middlebrooks Winfrey and Earnest "Dock" Winfrey.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by two children, Lou Alice Middlebrooks Lester and Chester Middlebrooks, Jr.; three aunts, Pearie Browning, Essie Mae Middlebrooks and Eunice Brown; two uncles, Chester and James Middlebrooks.
Mr. Middlebrooks is survived by his children, Lola Mae Reed, Christine (Otto) Jones, Inez Middlebrooks, Michael (Mae) Middlebrooks, Sylvia (Clint) Lattimore, Willie Lee Middlebrooks, Gregory Middlebrooks and Jessie (Austin) Middlebrooks Mathis; 40 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; special friend Minister Hattie Lawson and a host of other relatives.
The family is receiving friends at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Middlebrooks.
