Connell Johnson-Young

Connell J. Young (widowed) was born to Henry Q. and Olivia  A. Johnson, September 14, 1948 in Athens, Georgia. She departed this life on October 21, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Olivia Johnson and both her siblings, Annie R. Foster and Henry C. Johnson Sr.

Connell was reared in Athens, Georgia;  she was a 1966 graduate of Burney Harris High School. Shortly after graduation she married Robert Lewis Young and moved to Washington DC / Temple Hills, Maryland area where she remained until her demise.

Connell worked for the Housing and Urban Development for 26 years and after an early retirement went on to work for the D. C. Housing and finance Agency for 19 years, she worked hard and remained employed intil 2017.

She leaves to mourn her passing her one and only son, Jon V. Young, a young man of whom she extremely and profoundly proud, three nephews; Dwight F. (Janice) Johnson, Keith T. Foster and Henry C. Johnson Jr., three nieces; Carmen M. Foster, Jennifer D. Foster and Tyara Y. Johnson and a great host of great nieces, nephews other family and friends.
