Ms. Dorothy M. Cooper, also known to close family and friends as As. Dot, was born on September 21, 1935, to the late Willie and Annie Mae Cooper in Athens, Georgia. She departed this earthly life on January 22, 2024, surrounded by loving family.
"A Time To Love and Enjoy Life"
Dorothy was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church and under watch care with the Healing Temple Ministries. She was employed with the University of Cieorgia for over 35 years where she built many relationships. She was also well-known in the community by many.
"A Time To Die"
Ms. Dorothy M. Cooper departed this earthly life on January 22, 2024. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by older brother Johnny Cooper and sisters Hattie Mae Cooper and Mary Payne.
She leaves to cherish her memories of two daughrers Juanita (Lamar) Resby and Debra Parks, and two sons Michael (Gwendolyn) Cooper, and Tony (Annette) Cooper all of Athens, Georgi. One niece Bonny Edmonds of Atlanta, GA, two nephews Reginald Cooper, of Athens, GA, and Michael (Nancy) Cooper, of San Jose, CA; A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and Friends.
