Frances Colvil was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Rosena Jones-Singleton and the late George Singleton, Sr. Frances was the the third born of nine children. She met and married the late Julian Colvil, Sr. on March 4th 1967. Frances & Julian resided in the Bronx, NY, where they raised their four children. The first born of that union were twin daughters, Yvette & Yullette. One year later, they welcomed their first son, Sean and lastly, their youngest son, Julian, Jr.
Frances was employed as a NYC, U.S. Postal Worker, until she retired and moved to Athens, Georgia to be closer to her youngest son, Julian & family. Frances passed away on February 6th, 2021. She leaves behind to grieve, her four adult children, her mother, eight grandsons and granddaughters, two great grandchildren, one sister, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family & friends.
Frances will be sorely missed and forever loved and remembered. Sleep in peace, mommy!
