Obituary

   Jethro Blanton Dean was born on August 21, 1943  to the late Edward Dean Sr. and Voila Dean in Athens, Georgia, he departed this life on April 9, 2022, at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Along with his parents Jethro was proceeded in death by his sister Louis Dean-Barns two brothers James and Harold Dean and his life long partner Carolyn Griffeth.

Jethro had a kind and compassionate spirit, he loved fishing  and telling jokes to any and everyone who listen. 

He leaves cherished memoirs to his children: Kimberly Dean-Commodore, Michael Dean, Blandon Dean, Jarel dean and Dedrick Griffeth; two brothers: Edward Dean Jr., and Henry Dean, 14 grand  children and 12 great-grand children, mother-in-law Claudia Griffeth, sister-in laws Phyllis and  Connie Griffeth, Sylvia (Kenneth) Sneed,  and  host of other relatives and friends.
