Juanita “Nita” Ford was born April 28, 1949 to Ethel Ford and late Howard Lee Ford in Clarke County Georgia.
Nita spent her formattable life in Oconee County where she graduated from Ed Stroud in 1967. She later moved to Stone Mountain, Ga where she allowed her Home Economic training to provide a career as Seamstress in clothing and window treatment. Later in life she became a manager at Choice Point/Nexus Lexus as an employment background research specialist. She loved to dance and loved her family where she spent the greatest portion of her free time.
Nita departed this life on October 27, 2020 with her daughter Angie by her side along with other family members. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Angela Ford of Stone Mountain, Ga, Mother Ethel Ford of Athens, Ga, 3 brothers: Perry (Vanessa) Stockbridge, Ga, Kenny and Paul of Athens, Ga. Two sisters: Jacqueline of Lilburn, Ga, Sharon of Alpharetta, Ga. Two very dear friends: Elizabeth Poydras and Elaine & Jonny Jordan, and her eldest living great Aunt Gladys Slocomb. A host of uncles, aunts’ nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Phillip & Clara Sims, and Maggie & Jimmy Ford and others relatives.
