Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not
Loretta Ellison-Lawrence was born on February 2, 1975, to the late Ms. Hilda Ellison and Mr. John Newton Mitchell Gunby. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
After graduating from Monroe Area High School in 1991, she enrolled in American Intercontinental University, and graduated Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in the Department of Criminal Justice in September of 2007.
While in Madison, Georgia, she met the love of her life, and was married on September 18, 2014 to Ailsen Lawrence.
Loretta had a beautiful spirit of joy, happiness, and an outstanding mind. She brought balance, love, and support to all in her presence, and carried the will of a humanitarian at heart. She would always lend a helping hand to those who needed it most, she loved music, art and her makeup. Our Beloved Sister, Loretta was a beacon of motherly love for the community.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Ailsen Lawrence; three daughters, Aeriona Ellison, Chasity Ellison, Maria Pope; granddaughter, Carleigh; son-in-law Ali Ellis; other relatives, Ms. Connie and Stephanie Thompkins; Special friends and extended family, Groome Transportation. We give great thanks and honor for her transcendence, to the higher realms.
