Mary L. Dillard

 Mary L. Dillard transitioned from this earthly life on Sunday, March 8, 2020.  Mary was born on July 9, 1929 in Milledgeville, Georgia to Charlie Mitchell and Willie Belle Easley Mitchell.  
 
 She attended Baldwin County public schools.  She professed  Christ as her savior at an early age and joined the Torrence Chapel Baptist Church. Mary married Walter L. Myrick and moved the Athens where they started their family. She then joined Hill Chapel Baptist Church.
 
 Walter passed at a young age, leaving her to raise their three young children. A few years after Walter passed, she was united in holy matrimony with Robert Dillard. Mary worked for Gold Kist Poetry until she became unable to walk due to a sudden illness. After she regained strength in her legs, she and Robert rarely missed Sunday Worship at Hill Chapel. It became increasingly harder for her after Robert’s sudden death in 1998; but she was independent and struggled not to let her disability stop her from trying to take care of herself.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
 
 She loved cooking, sewing working in her yard, listening to gospel music, and sharing with others; especially, the Word of God.   
 
 Mary  leaves to cherish her memories a loving son, Anthony C. (Pamela) Myrick; two daughters, Beulah M. Colbert and Antoinette Taylor; a loving sister, Elizabeth Bowers; five grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
