Phillip Noble Davenport, aka “Tip”, was born January 11, 1960 to Ruth (Carey) Davenport and the late Dock Davenport. He went to be with the Lord Monday, February 8, 2021.
At a young age Phillip gave his life to Christ and joined Billups Grove Baptist Church. He graduated from Cedar Shoals High School in 1978, afterwards he worked at Dave Gordon Auto Parts for 19 years. Later in life he was employed by Bolton Landscaping for many years before retiring.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Collins Davenport in February 2020.
Phillip is survived by five children, Quitisha Brown, Dedrick Davenport, Shakita Davenport, Roderick Davenport, and Bernard Jones; mother, Patricia Davenport; sister, Taffi (Kelvin) Moore; two brothers, Nicklas (Cherita) Davenport and Patrick Davenport; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two ex-wives, Diane Gresham and Elizabeth Eberhart and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends and many people who loved and admired him. He was always “One call that's all.”
