Quameik Aziz Obituary

His life tells his life story, a heart filled with love and he had a pleasant cheerful smile and kind words for everyone that he came in contact with.

Quamiek Malik Aziz, 27 of Athens, GA entered this earthly realm on June 9, 1993 to the late Sonya “Cakie” Goodjiones and the late Malik Aziz. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, although raised in Athens, GA.  Quamiek made the transition from his earthly home to begin eternal life on December 29, 2020 where he was taken quickly and unexpectedly.

Highlighting A Life To Be Remembered!!

Snow or Miek as we so fondly referred to him was one of ten children. He was educated in the Clarke County School System.  Quamiek was baptized at an early age at Hill Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Jessie Barnes.

Miek was a loyal and faithful young man, full of life, with a beautiful sense of humor.  He will be remembered for his infectious smile and that hilarious raspy laugh.  Quamiek was a stellar athlete, physically strong, fearless and competitive in both football and baseball.  “He was a beast.”  He was kind, loving and had a larger than life personality.  Miek stayed true to himself, family and friends by being affectionate, truehearted and a protector. One of his favorite quotes was “I am who I am, and who I’m not, I will never be.”  He loved his great grandmother “Mute”, a Godly woman.  He loved hearing her tell him that God has a purpose for all of us, because without purpose, life is motion without meaning, activity without direction and events without reason.  Without a purpose, life is trivial, petty and pointless.

Quamiek was a devoted Father who was very attentive, playful, cheerful and caring to his son Carter.  He was steadfast and unwavering when it came to providing for his son “Fat-Man Carter”, your presence and your love gave him life, and because of you, his life was full of love.  Miek vitality and generosity of spirit will live within our hearts forever!

He leaves to cherish his memories to his son: Carter Aziz; six sisters: Queasha Goodjiones of Athens, GA, Komaiyah Goodjiones of Atlanta, GA, ZaiKeeyah Edwards, Destiny Goodjiones, Ylemia Aziz, NyReshia Felton all of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers: Quiere Goodjiones (Belinda) of Athens, GA, Chance Gholson and Marvin Bing Jr. both of Philadelphia, PA; grandmother: Margaret “Tiffany” Fletcther of Philadelphia, PA; special aunts: Dr. Tanyetta Marilla and Irish Gresham; special uncle: Andrew “Tee” Green; best friends:  Fakari Gresham and Kayla Johnson; special friend: Diana Ulloa; God-son: Khadeem Barnett; a plethora of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
