The family is receiving friends at the residence of Rose & Tommy Moore, Winterville.
On Saturday, January 13, 2018, God’s angel was summoned to the bedside of Mrs. Ruth Strong Lowe in the comfort of the home of her daughter and son-in-law where she made her transition from earth to her eternal home. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth Strong Lowe was born the youngest of nine children to the parentage of the late Oliver and Willie Mae Kelly Strong on March 14, 1931.
Ruth accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Holly Creek Baptist Church where she served diligently until her health incapacitated her. She served on the Mother’s Board, Willing Workers Club and other capacities.
Ruth attended school in Madison County, Georgia and Clarke County. She furthered her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) where she retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 35 years of service. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers.
Ruth was married to the late Nathaniel Lowe and to this union two children were born. One son, Andre Lowe who predeceased her and one daughter W. Rose Lowe Moore. She was also predeceased by her three sisters and five brothers.
Mrs. Ruth Lowe leaves to cherish her precious memory a loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law W. Rose Lowe Moore and Tommy Moore; four grandchildren: LaTonya Moore, Garrick Lowe, Tommy A. Moore and Adrian Lowe. Three great- grandchildren, a cousin raised in the home, Eugene Wilhite; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loyal neighbors and friends.
