Mr. Terry Donnell Middlebrooks was born on March 25, 1970, in Athens, Georgia to the late Mrs. Lue Alice Middlebrooks-Lester, his late step father Mr. Robert Lester, and his father the late Mr. Charles Smith Sr. Donnell was blessed with two children, a son, Lanier Yearby, a daughter Zyria Hood, and a granddaughter Ariah Pittard.
He walked by faith and not by sight and loved the lord. He attended Cornerstone Church of Christ in Athens, Georgia. His life tells the story of a Christian whose goal was to uplift the Lord.
Donnell attended Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Georgia. He loved to laugh, was very charming, kind, and honest. He adored being around his family and had a large heart for everyone he met.
Donnell was very talented with numerous skills that allowed him to have occupations in various fields. He was an amazing tradesman that was skilled in painting. He had a work ethic that was beyond exemplary and also spent time employed at the Mayfield Moving Company and the Athens Poultry.
In addition to his loving children and grandchild he leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandmother, Neline Carty (Noel), Nine sis-ters, Regina Roach (Antoine), Lynelle Lester-Harris (Rodney), Cynthia Lester, Brenda Robbins (Ricky), DeShawn Thomas (Samuel), Iyisha Bell, Predita Smith, and Macy Hardy; two brother, Charles Smith Jr. and Tyler Conyers. He was preceded in death by one sister, Predita Morgan. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 20, 2020. His life is a testimony to God’s mercy and goodness. Mr. Middlebrooks was a blessing to all who had the opportunity to know and love him. He is loved by many and will be deeply missed.
