Veronica L. Morton

September 26, 1947 - February 23, 2020
 
 Ms. Veronica L. Morton was born September 26, 1947 to the late Mrs. Mae Willie Morton and Mr. Alvin T. Morton. She departed this life on February 23, 2020.
 
              She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alicestine Morton, Cora Walton, Lila Dorsey, and Bobbie Jean Morton; brothers, Floyd Morton, Sr., and Samuel Morton.  
 
               She Joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Levite Moore and was a faithful member for over 50 years.  She was also a member of the Choir, she loved taking care of neighborhood kids, and in her spare time she would walk for miles.  
 
       She leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Mr. Richard D. Morton of Athens, Georgia, one brother, Reverend Richard D. Morton Sr., of Hamden, Connecticut, one aunt, Mrs. Ruby Potts of Athens, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
